This course qualifies you for the next stage of legal training towards becoming a solicitor or barrister. You will study both academic and practical aspects of the law.

The LLB covers the Foundations of Legal Knowledge required for a Qualifying Law Degree, and covers subjects examined by the Solicitors Qualifying Exam 1 (SQE 1).

Alternative qualifications considered: BTEC Level 3 Diplomas, Access to HE, Scottish Highers, Irish Leaving Certificate, International Baccalaureate
Minimum 3 GCSEs (Maths and English) at grade C/4 or above
Graduation with a 2:2 or above covering the required subjects is needed by the Bar Standards Board for entry to the vocational stage of Barrister training
Relevant work experience and personal circumstances are considered as part of a holistic application, alongside academic qualifications

  • ✓Mature applicants or career changers with relevant work experience, even where formal qualifications fall slightly short of standard UCAS Tariff Points

  • ✕Falls well short of 96 UCAS Tariff Points with no accepted alternative qualification
  • ✕Cannot evidence GCSE-equivalent Maths and English (grade C/4 or above)
  • ✕Wants a broader business qualification with a legal component rather than a qualifying law degree, Business and Law (BSc) may fit better
